Bij de uitreiking van de propeadeuse heb ik dit lied voor mijn studiegenoten gezongen. Waarom? Omdat het echt zo'n lied is van ouder naar kind. Liefdevol, met ouderlijke wijsheden. Waarschijnlijk is het lied ook zo bedoeld want de schrijver ervan - Tony Mortimer, ex-East 17, zeer goed tekstschrijver - had toen hij dit schreef twee kleine meiden... Ik heb het weer eens opgezocht en kwam tot de conclusie dat ik het nog steeds een heel mooi, lief nummer vind...
